BDMPC: Kusog sa Panaghiusa, Kalambuan sa Pagtinabangay

The Bohol Diocese Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BDMPC) successfully conducted its Annual Representative Assembly Meeting (ARAM) on March 28, 2026, at the Metro Centre Hotel Grand Ballroom. Anchored on this year’s theme, “BDMPC: Kusog sa Panaghiusa, Kalambuan sa Pagtinabangay,” the event brought together members, officers, and stakeholders in a meaningful gathering that celebrated unity as the driving force behind the cooperative’s continued growth and success.

The assembly formally opened with a solemn Holy Mass presided over by Msgr. Jeffrey P. Malanog, JCL, and concelebrated by Fr. Leonel M. Grado, Fr. Romeo Barcelona, and Fr. Manuel Mendez. The Eucharistic celebration set a reflective and spiritual tone for the day, emphasizing that true progress is achieved through shared faith, collective effort, and a spirit of cooperation—values deeply rooted in the event’s theme.

Following the Holy Mass, the Election Committee officially announced the vacant positions to be filled through the election. These included two (2) priest representatives and three (3) lay representatives for the Board of Directors, as well as three (3) members each for the Election Committee and 3 for the Audit and Inventory Committee. This process highlighted the cooperative’s commitment to participatory governance, where unity and collaboration pave the way for strong and effective leadership.

The assembly proceeded with the presentation of reports from the various committees. Each report outlined the accomplishments, financial performance, and operational milestones of BDMPC over the past year. These were thoroughly reviewed and duly approved by the body, reflecting the members’ confidence in the cooperative’s direction. The transparency demonstrated in these presentations further embodied the theme, as openness and trust are essential in fostering genuine cooperation.

Subsequently, Ms. Jocelyn M. Tagoctoc, General Manager, presented a comprehensive report on the overall operations of BDMPC. She highlighted the cooperative’s achievements, including awards and recognitions that affirmed its excellence in service. She also shared future plans focused on sustainability, innovation, and expanding services to better serve its growing membership. Her message underscored that the cooperative’s progress is the result of collective effort—proof that “kalambuan sa pagtinabangay” is truly at work.

One of the most anticipated moments of the assembly was the announcement of the election results. After the official counting of votes, the Election Committee proclaimed the winners. Elected as priest representatives to the Board of Directors were Msgr. Jeffrey P. Malanog and Fr. Leonel M. Grado, while Vinefreda F. Flores, Felix A. Garan, and Nicandro Pagaran were elected as lay representatives.

For the Audit and Inventory Committee, the elected members were Joebane Villalongja, Norma Beldia, and Teresa Arais. Meanwhile, Liza R. Pangan, Bernadith Mercado, and Grace Orillos were elected as members of the Election Committee. The proclamation was met with enthusiasm and support, reflecting the unity of the cooperative in entrusting its new leaders.

The 2026 ARAM concluded successfully, truly embodying the spirit of the theme, “Kusog sa Panaghiusa, Kalambuan sa Pagtinabangay.” With renewed leadership and a shared vision, BDMPC continues to move forward stronger than ever—guided by unity, driven by cooperation, and committed to uplifting the lives of its members.
