BDMPC NOW ACCEPTING SSS PREMIUM AND LOAN PAYMENTS FOR BDMPC REGULAR MEMBERS
Following the successful Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing between the Social Security System (SSS) and the Bohol Diocesan Multi-Purpose Cooperative, the partnership took a major step forward with the conduct of an implementation training on April 16, 2026. The training equipped selected BDMPC staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to efficiently handle SSS-related transactions, ensuring a smooth rollout of services for cooperative members.
The training session was facilitated by SSS personnel from Manila, who provided comprehensive guidance on the operational procedures, compliance requirements, and proper handling of member transactions. This initiative reflects SSS’s commitment to maintaining service quality while expanding its reach through trusted partner institutions like BDMPC.
On MAY 4, 2026 Monday, BDMPC will start to serve as a convenient access point for SSS services within the community. However, it is important to note that this new service is exclusively available to BDMPC members. Those who wish to avail themselves of the services may register and become a BDMPC regular member first and continue paying their contributions through the cooperative.
The program specifically caters to individuals classified by SSS as self-employed, voluntary members, and non-working spouses. These categories often include small business owners, freelancers, unemployed individuals, and spouses who manage households—groups that may find it challenging to regularly visit SSS branches for their transactions. Through this initiative, BDMPC provides a more accessible and member-friendly alternative.
A range of essential SSS services can now be completed directly at BDMPC. Members may conveniently pay their SSS premium contributions and settle loan obligations without the need to travel to an SSS branch office. Additionally, members can request assistance in updating or changing their membership status, such as transitioning from employed to voluntary or self-employed status, and vice versa. Basic inquiries and support services are also readily available through trained BDMPC personnel.
This development significantly streamlines the process for members who already visit the cooperative for their financial needs. Instead of making separate trips, members can now complete their SSS-related transactions alongside their regular cooperative dealings—saving both time and effort.
The implementation training marks a critical milestone in operationalizing the partnership, ensuring that BDMPC not only serves as a collecting agent but also as a reliable extension of SSS services in Bohol. By bringing these services closer to the community, the initiative promotes greater compliance, encourages active membership, and ultimately helps more individuals secure their social protection benefits.
As BDMPC continues to enhance its service offerings, this collaboration with SSS stands as a testament to its mission of providing accessible, efficient, and member-centered solutions—reinforcing its role as a trusted partner in both financial and social security services.
